The problem we chose

Three things every intensive farm lives with

01 · the dawn hole

Oxygen collapses at 05:00

Respiration and night-time algal demand pull dissolved oxygen to its daily minimum just before sunrise. That one hour shapes survival, feed intake and disease pressure for the whole crop.

02 · paddlewheels

Open loop, not a setpoint

Surface aeration runs on a clock rather than on the pond's actual state, and it cannot lift oxygen far above saturation however much horsepower you add. Farms buy horsepower to cover uncertainty instead of buying certainty.

03 · undocumented skill

Experience does not scale

The best operators read a pond by eye. That judgement cannot transfer to the next farm, the next crop or the next hire — because it was never recorded.

Nanobubble & oxygen

Built on Japanese-origin patented ceramic bubble-generation technology, integrated through our own 3P design into pond-scale units (NovaO2 oxygen generation plus SH-20 nanobubble modules) and commissioned against a written capacity-test SOP before any animals are stocked.

Layer 2 · data

Every pond is a node

Continuous dissolved oxygen, temperature, pH and total ammonia nitrogen per pond, read every 30 seconds by an on-farm gateway that mirrors the sensor feed into a local database, plus an operator app for the measurements a probe cannot take.

Layer 3 · ShrimpOS

Monitoring, then models

Live today: continuous monitoring, threshold alerting and a pilot dashboard on the farm. In development: event detection and a biological model trained on our own pond data.

Hardware and sensing in production

Nanobubble and oxygen units on a commercial farm; five ponds instrumented and logging since late May 2026; monitoring and threshold alerting have run continuously since early July, after a four-week sensor outage on two ponds in June.

IN BUILD

ShrimpOS v1 — farm operations software

Productising the pilot dashboard into a multi-farm control tower, with event detection and structured crop records. Every pilot pond is a labelled training set: environment, growth, pathogen and energy variables on one timeline.

2026 – 2027

Thirty to fifty ponds, then predictive control

Widen the sensor estate, then train the biological model that turns monitoring into forecast — and forecast into an oxygen policy the system executes on the operator's confirmation.
