Water is the carrier
“Aqua” in NovaAquatech is water, not aquaculture. The nanobubble layer proven on shrimp ponds — bubbles of around 100 nm that stay in the water column instead of venting at the surface — is a way of putting a controlled amount of oxygen into any water that a crop or an animal then drinks, stands in or is washed with.
Four applications we are working toward
- Irrigation. Oxygen-enriched water delivered to the root zone through existing drip or furrow systems.
- Hydroponics and soilless culture. Dissolved oxygen in the nutrient solution held at a setpoint rather than left to the pump schedule.
- Post-harvest wash water. Nanobubble water in the wash and cooling steps between field and pack-house.
- Livestock drinking water. Oxygen-enriched drinking water for poultry, pigs and cattle.
How we will approach it
Each application will be taken through the same discipline as the shrimp pilot: a written protocol, an instrumented comparison against the grower’s own practice, and results reported as measurements with their method and window. No performance figures are claimed for this line until a trial has produced them.
